As part of the Kaushal Bodh Karyakram, Saraswati Academy organised a hands-on Carpentry Workshop for the students of Class 8A on 8 August 2026. The workshop was designed to develop practical life skills, confidence, creativity and safe tool-handling practices among students.
During the session, students were introduced to essential carpentry tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, measuring tapes and drills. Under expert guidance, they participated in practical activities including driving nails into wood, cutting plywood, measuring materials and making holes using a drill machine. Special emphasis was placed on safety, correct grip, accurate measurement and responsible use of tools.
The students displayed great enthusiasm and curiosity throughout the workshop. They actively participated in demonstrations, asked questions and enthusiastically tried their hands at various carpentry tasks.
The workshop was led by Teacher-in-Charge Mrs. Priya Sharma, with assistance from Mr. Yogesh Singh Rawat. The activity highlighted how practical skills such as carpentry can contribute to students’ self-reliance, problem-solving abilities and everyday life skills.
The successful completion of the workshop reaffirmed Saraswati Academy’s commitment to providing students with meaningful experiential learning opportunities that complement academic education with practical skill development.
